What You’ll Do

As a Vessel Welder, you’ll be instrumental in the fabrication of pressure vessels using industry-standard welding techniques and tools. You’ll work from blueprints and production orders, operate specialized welding equipment, and ensure that final products meet ASME Section VIII standards.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Setting up and operating welding machines and equipment (FCAW, MIG, SMAW; SAW and TIG a plus)
• Reading and interpreting production orders and blueprints
• Performing x-ray quality welds on pressure vessels
• Verifying materials and final product quality
• Documenting welding procedures, processes, and results
• Safely operating overhead cranes, forklifts, rollers, and pneumatic tools
• Diagnosing and assisting with equipment and material troubleshooting
• Participating in 5S and preventive maintenance initiatives

What You Bring to the Table

• 6 months to 1 year of pressure vessel welding experience (preferred)
• Experience with FCAW, MIG, and SMAW required
• Ability to pass ASME Section VIII welding procedure tests
• Basic blueprint reading and measuring tool proficiency
• Familiarity with hand tools, torches, forklifts, and cranes
• Strong team mindset with the ability to follow safety and quality protocols
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical welder training a plus

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

• Stand for extended periods
• Bend, stoop, kneel, carry up to 50 lbs
• Work from elevated platforms and ladders
• Use specific vision and hand coordination for detailed welding tasks
