Warehouse Operations & Q/C Specialist

Job Opportunity: Temporary Warehouse Operations & Q/C Specialist (3-Month Contract)

Job purpose

This position is a full-time hands-on role within Seal Shield’s Supply Chain and Operations Department with a dotted line to Quality Control. The main responsibility is to assist in the daily production and quality control testing of products into and out of the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities

Production, Logistics & Warehouse Support :

· Coordinate product movement between the warehouse and the production shop to achieve outlined goals.

· Understand the NetSuite processes associated with bin transfers.

· Ensure items that can be returned to active stock are accounted for in NetSuite and placed in correct locations per SOP.

· Kits and packs components in boxes with applicable labels per instruction for order fulfillment.

· Assists Screen Protector production in periods of surge demand with sorting, trimming, and packaging for shipment.

· Pick and prepare orders to be shipped, including packing and labeling shipments.

· Manually handles, repacks, or restacks pallets of the finished product as needed.

· Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports.

· Provide support to the Warehouse Coordinator during periods of their absence.

· Understand Logistics Cycle and implications on internal processes.

· Performs other related duties as directed.

· Preference for experienced forklift operators that can safely and efficiently operate equipment. Maintain required certification, and administer forklift Preventative Maintenance program and vehicle safety checks.

Quality Control Testing:

· Inspect and ensures the quality of incoming inventory

· Review existing isolated inventory to determine if it is meeting specs

· Use testing fixtures with SOPs to test product against specifications

· Measure dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and durometer gauges

· Review laser-etched keyboards against golden samples to ensure accuracy and consistency

SOP/KPIs:

· Aid in the goal to meet or exceed all listed SC/OPS metrics and KPIs

· Continue learning and pursuing best practices and seeking other education/certification to maintain the ongoing evolution of increased productivity, efficiency, etc., of the Operations and Supply Chain Department.

Team Support :

· Communicate with outside parties for coworkers when requested.

· Respond to communication (emails, meeting requests, MSTeams messages, etc.) sent by Seal Shield members in a timely and friendly manner.

· Work with other departments to facilitate reasonable requests promptly.

· Store all emails in an organized manner to provide a complete and clear history of communication.

· Actively participate in scheduled conference calls.

Qualifications:

Hard Skills & Education:

· High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.

· Experience with 2D drawings

· Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator

· Experience measuring with calipers and micrometers

· Current with trends and best practices for Operations and Warehousing.

Working conditions

This position resides at the WHSE and will work an agreed-upon schedule during the M-F day shift. Rare requirements for Saturday work may occur for peak periods or physical inventory (annual) events. This is a 3-month temporary position.

Physical requirements

Work to be conducted within the warehouse is movement, packaging, testing, and returning of the product. This will often require the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch. Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs occasionally exists.
