Job Description

LHH is actively seeking a Welding Engineer for an automotive manufacturing company in the Rolling Meadows area.

This role will be responsible for developing and implementing robotic welding processes, working with cross-fuctional teams, focusing in process improvement and production goals.

This is an hourly position with approximately 10 hours of overtime a week.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot and optimize robotic welding systems
• Identify process improvement opportunities
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Create/maintain parameters and procedures
• Design processes, fixtures and tooling
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including troubleshooting hardware and software
• Conduct trainings and provide technical support
• Support safety throughout the facitlity
• Additional duties as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of Welding Robotic Systems experience
• Knowledge of AWS, ASME, and other industry standards and codes
• Certified Welding Engineer or Certified Welding Inspector preferred
