Job Description

Field Technician

Location: Denver, CO

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, commissioning, and decommissioning of RBS and RRU equipment at both cell sites and in-building locations.
  • Travel to various cell sites and in-building venues within local and regional markets.
  • Capture before-and-after photos of installed equipment and document VSS audit results.
  • Route and install Fiber cables, SFPs, power cables from power plants to new equipment, and power up RBS/RRU units. Install ground cables, mount equipment, and handle equipment integration.
  • Ensure all projects are completed on time, adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Manage field logistics, including equipment scanning and harvesting new assets via app depot.
  • Execute Carrier Add and Indoor system projects, including installation, integration, testing of transport, alarms, power, ground, SIAD, functional systems, and E911 call testing.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve equipment issues and alarms. Perform NEA testing for both cell site and in-building projects.
  • Prepare and submit closeout site packages and detailed field reports.
  • Be prepared for 8–10-hour workdays depending on project locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Switch and UTRAN teams during installation and integration activities.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience working with major wireless operators.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel to various cell sites and venues.
  • Must pass background and drug screening.
  • Completion of mandatory training, including First Aid, OSHA, and other site-specific certifications.
  • Must have field integration skills and be flexible to work day/night shifts and weekends as required.
