💼 Full-Time | Starting Salary: $55,000/year

Miami Arts Charter School is seeking a passionate and motivated World History Teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2025–2026 school year. If you are an educator who believes in the power of academics and the arts to transform lives, we invite you to apply.

Founded in 2009, Miami Arts Charter School is located in the heart of Miami’s vibrant Wynwood Arts District. Our unique school community serves students in grades 6–12 who are admitted through a rigorous application and audition process in the performing and fine arts. Unlike many charter schools, we do not use a lottery-based system—our students are here because they’ve earned it.

As a Florida Public Charter School, all courses follow Florida State Standards, and our educators are committed to delivering excellence in both instruction and student experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic, standards-aligned instruction in High School World History
  • Develop and implement engaging and thought-provoking lesson plans
  • Monitor academic progress and provide regular feedback through grades and evaluations
  • Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment
  • Participate in school-wide initiatives, meetings, and professional development

Qualifications:

  • State of Florida Teaching Certificate (Professional or Temporary) OR Statement of Eligibility
  • Previous classroom experience preferred but not required
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with academically and artistically gifted students
  • Commitment to continuous professional growth
