Position: Buyer

Location: Vernon Hills (On-site with potential for hybrid after training)

Salary: $55,000 - $60,000

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in reorder buying.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Excel, including V Lookups.
• Ability to type at least 45 words per minute.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and place purchase orders for products and special orders, ensuring cost-efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor purchase order confirmations and follow up to verify receipt, shipping dates, and current costs.
• Liaise with vendors regarding purchase orders, shipping schedules, backorder statuses, and overdue orders.
• Coordinate with the receiving department to ensure proper handling and management of incoming products.
• Oversee vaccine inventory by placing orders for overnight shipments and closely tracking stock levels.
• Produce daily reports to monitor critical areas such as overdue purchase orders, backorders, short reports, and stock replenishment, addressing any discrepancies.
• Resolve issues with vendors, confirm shipping details, and communicate product issues to the Procurement Specialist, warehouse, sales, and marketing teams.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on debit returns and credits/rebates.
