About the Role

Emergent Hiring is partnering with a premier, close-knit civil engineering firm in Cary, NC.

In this role, the selected candidate will have the opportunity to work with both public and private clients across all industries on a local, national and international scale. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in the areas of land development, water resources and environmental engineering. This role involves working closely with Project Managers to establish project goals and deadlines, as well as overseeing various utility water and wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Project Managers to establish project goals and deadlines.
  • Plan, design, and construction oversight of a variety of utility water and wastewater projects for municipal, industrial, and private clients.
  • Create site layouts, roadways, grading, erosion control and/or stormwater management system plans.
  • Develop exhibits, construction drawings and specifications for projects.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations.
  • Interact directly with public and private clients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a directly related field.
  • Entry Level and/or minimum of 1 year of engineering related experience desirable.
  • A demonstrated interest in land development, water resources, or environmental engineering.
  • Professional experience using either AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or a similar design program.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to represent McConnell & Associates in a professional manner with clients.
  • Engineering Design

Preferred Skills

  • 3+ years of professional work experience in the area of land development, water resources or environmental engineering desirable.

Pay range and compensation package

Starting at 90,000, compensation is flexible based on experience. Full benefits are offered.
