Precision Glass Industries is specialized in fabricating custom high-quality glass solutions, ranging from exquisite shower doors and enclosures to commercial insulated glass, laminated glass, and a variety of glass architectural elements, including railings, wall partitions, and heavy glass entrance systems. Role Overview:

As a Maintenance Engineer , you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within our manufacturing plant. This role will require you to troubleshoot, repair, and optimize a variety of equipment to ensure efficient operations. You will also collaborate with the team to improve machinery reliability and contribute to system upgrades and process improvements.

Key Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to ensure optimal performance of production equipment.
  • Lead design control activities and assist in the review and creation of design controls for new and existing machinery.
  • Analyze, design, and implement solutions for equipment automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Own, maintain, and approve all schematics related to equipment, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date documentation.
  • Provide hands-on support for the setup, operation, and maintenance of machinery and control systems.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime.
  • Lead and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges, recommend system improvements, and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Provide input to capital projects and work closely with project teams to ensure all mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components are properly maintained and optimized.
  • Support the implementation of machine upgrades, including hardware and software changes, to improve overall system performance.
  • Develop technical reports and related documentation to communicate system performance, improvements, and any ongoing issues.
  • Assist in the creation of CAD drawings and mechanical/electrical diagrams as necessary.
  • Promote and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for escalating downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support.

Qualifications:

  • Education : Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience : 3-5 years of experience in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic maintenance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of machinery.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, PLC systems, and automated systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and equipment assessments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and CAD drawings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and commitment to a safe working environment.
