Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Parts Counter Sales Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while assisting them in finding the right parts and accessories for their needs. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and a basic understanding of automotive or industrial parts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner as they enter the parts counter area.
- Assist customers in identifying and locating the correct parts for their vehicles through electronic catalog systems.
- Provide accurate pricing, availability, and delivery information for parts and accessories.
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked parts counter, including restocking inventory and keeping displays tidy.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person about parts and services.
- Work collaboratively with technicians and service staff to ensure timely parts availability for service jobs.
- Update and maintain customer records, including sales history and contact information.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and inventory management.
- Stay informed about new products in Toyota parts to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in automotive technology or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in automotive parts sales is highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems, or the ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and point-of-sale software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to excellent customer service.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
