Job Title: Technical Writer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to create, edit, and maintain clear, accurate, and engaging documentation that helps users and internal teams understand and effectively use our products and systems. The ideal candidate has a passion for technology, strong attention to detail, and a talent for translating complex information into user-friendly content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, write, and update product documentation, including user guides, API docs, knowledge base articles, and online help content.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), engineers, designers, and product managers to gather information and understand documentation needs.
• Ensure content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with brand and documentation style guides.
• Create visual aids (e.g., screenshots, diagrams) using tools such as Snagit or Adobe Illustrator.
• Manage documentation projects through the content lifecycle—from planning and drafting to publishing and maintenance.
• Contribute to UX microcopy, error messages, and tooltips when needed.
• Use version control systems and content management tools (e.g., Git, Confluence, MadCap Flare, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Content Management Systems, Adobe FrameMaker) to organize and publish content.
• Any knowledge of SAP is a big plus but not required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives) as part of a cross-functional team.
• Continuously improve documentation based on user feedback, analytics, and product updates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a software, IT, or engineering environment.
• Strong ability to write clearly for multiple audiences, including technical and non-technical users.
• Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, FrameMaker, Confluence, or similar.
• Familiarity with source control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent research, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience writing UX microcopy or UI documentation is a plus.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience with API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
• Video tutorial creation using tools like Camtasia or Adobe Premiere.
• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS or Markdown.
• Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to support content development and automation.
• Certification in technical communication or information mapping.
