D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Inspectors in Los Angeles, CA.

The Installation Inspector is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that installations of systems, equipment, and infrastructure align with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance requirements. This role involves conducting field inspections, documenting progress, and collaborating with contractors and project teams to maintain compliance and resolve issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed inspections of installations, including electrical and solar panel systems.
  • Verify compliance with project plans and applicable codes and regulations.
  • Conduct safety checks to ensure that all procedures adhere to OSHA and LADWP safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspection findings, test results, and progress reports.
  • Prepare non-compliance reports (NCRs) and track corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers and contractors to resolve discrepancies in design and execution.
  • Provide technical expertise during the installation phase, ensuring proper techniques and materials are used.
  • Review and approve materials, methods, and equipment for compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors, utility representatives, and other stakeholders to facilitate project progress.
  • Attend meetings to discuss installation progress, challenges, and solutions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for installation-related quality and safety concerns.
  • Supervise or conduct on-site testing of equipment and systems to verify functionality and adherence to specifications.
  • Ensure that test results are within acceptable parameters before approving installations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction, installation, or inspection, preferably with utility infrastructure.
  • Relevant certifications such as ICC, AWS, ACI, or NICET are highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with standards, local building codes, and regulatory compliance.
